《怀疑论者的漫步》是“狄德罗文集”第五卷，以狄德罗著名哲学论文为题，充满思辨精神，收录《怀疑论者的漫步》《论天才》《<布干维尔游记>补遗》《哲学家与某某元帅夫人的谈话》四篇文章。
其中《怀疑论者的漫步》是狄德罗关于宗教、哲学和社会生活的思考，由“荆棘道”“栗树道”“鲜花道”三部分组成，以荆棘道揭露宗教的虚伪，鲜花道直指沉湎酒色权术的新旧贵族，栗树道则是崇尚哲学思辨的理性之道。
《<布干维尔游记>补遗》是狄德罗以法国探险家布干维尔环游世界的见闻为灵感源泉，创作的对话体作品。通过对布干维尔笔下宛若现世天堂的塔希提岛风俗的描绘和评述，对西方社会的生活和思想进行了反思。

Denis Diderots（1713—1784）
法国启蒙思想家、辩证唯物主义哲学家、“百科全书派”代表人物。因其对后世的影响，又被誉为当代欧洲小说的奠基人。著述颇丰，其中《拉摩的侄儿》被恩格斯誉为“辩证法的杰作”，《宿命论者雅克和他的主人》被米兰•昆德拉誉为“十八世纪小说艺术的最高成就”。
"A Skeptic's Walk" is the fifth volume of "Diderot's collected works", with Diderot's famous philosophical essays as the title, full of speculative spirit, including "A Skeptic's Walk", "On Genius", "Travel Notes in Bougainville", "A Conversation between a philosopher and Mrs. Marshal" four articles.
Among them, The Sceptic's Walk is Diderot's reflection on religion, philosophy and social life, which consists of three parts: the Thorn Path, the Chestnut Tree Path and the Flower Path. The thorn path exposes the hypocrisy of religion, the flower path points to the old and new aristocrat who is addicted to wine and power, and the chestnut path is the rational path that values philosophical speculation.
"Travel Notes in Bougainville" is Diderot based on the French explorer Bougainville around the world to see the inspiration, the creation of dialogue works. Through describing and commenting on the customs of Tahiti, a paradise in Bougainville, this paper reflects on the life and thought of Western society.

French enlightenment thinker, dialectical materialist philosopher, representative of the "encyclopedia school". Because of its influence on later generations, he is also known as the founder of contemporary European novels. Among them, "Rameau's Nephew" was praised by Engels as "a masterpiece of dialectics", "The Fatalist Jacques and His Master" was praised by Milan Kundera as "the highest achievement of the eighteenth century novel art".
