Introduction of works
Avoid people's eyes and try to avoid contact with them?
Feel like someone is watching you and will stop what you're doing?
Need an escort before entering a room full of people?
There are signs that you may be experiencing social anxiety.
In this book, the author dissects what social anxiety is and systematically introduces a set of methods that can be applied to all people, namely, reducing self-focus, changing thinking patterns, changing behavior patterns, and in the last section adds useful advice for specific groups of people.
The authors believe that social anxiety is a common, non-pathological phenomenon. Socially anxious people just tend to think the worst about situations, which is not lacking in merit and can even be endearing. So, in order to take advantage of personal strengths and embrace a better life in the future, we should all understand what problems we have in this area and what efforts are futile, so as to make ourselves more comfortable socializing.
