本书是一部全面探讨魏晋清谈历史进程的著作。书中以时间为轴，以近两百位魏晋名士为线索，追溯清谈的源流，重新界定清谈内涵，立体呈现属于魏晋清谈的两百多年壮阔历史。作者从《世说新语》《晋书》等史书、笔记中钩沉，畅谈嵇康、王羲之、谢安等魏晋名士的清谈事迹，全面回答了魏晋清谈谈什么、怎么谈、在哪里谈、与谁谈等问题，覆盖玄谈、雅谈、美论、正论、人物评论和佛教清谈等方方面面。全书生动展现了魏晋清谈的鲜活场景，拓展了魏晋清谈的研究空间。
作者简介
龚斌，1947年生于上海崇明。1981年南京大学中文系研究生毕业。上海华东师范大学教授，中国陶渊明研究会名誉会长，《世说》学研究会会长。精研中古文化与文学，旁及中古佛教史，尤以陶渊明研究、《世说新语》研究见长。撰著有《陶渊明集校笺》《世说新语校释》《陶渊明年谱考辨》《南山的真意》《慧远法师传》《鸠摩罗什传》等。

About the author
Gong Bin was born in Chongming, Shanghai in 1947. Graduated from the Chinese Department of Nanjing University in 1981. Professor of East China Normal University in Shanghai, honorary President of China Tao Yuanming Research Association, President of the "Shihua" Study Association. Intensive study of medieval culture and literature, side by side with the history of medieval Buddhism, especially the study of Tao Yuanming, the New language of the world. He is the author of "Tao Yuanming's Collection of school Notes", "Shishuo New Language Interpretation", "Tao Yuanming's Yearbook Analysis", "The True meaning of Nanshan", "Huiyuan Master Biography", "Kumarashi Biography" and so on.
