《理性的反讽》【内容简介】
马克斯·韦伯的《新教伦理与资本主义精神》从新教的禁欲主义之中，挖掘出“资本主义精神”的文化出身，继而阐发了“理性主义”的渊源和“现代文明”的特点，是最常被引用的社会科学名著之一。
本书脱胎于重庆大学李放春教授开设的人文通识课程，历经五年打磨。对应《新教伦理与资本主义精神》的五章内容，分为五个章节分别讲解，完整、清晰、深入浅出地还原了韦伯命题的提出和推演过程。同时收录了两篇研究性论文，特别注重对韦伯研究方法的阐释，讨论了韦伯“历史的文化科学”与尼采“谱系学”的亲缘关系，并由此深化，探讨了“理性的历史与历史的非理性结果”。

北京大学社会学学士、硕士，美国加州大学洛杉矶分校历史学博士。现为重庆大学人文社会科学高等研究院研究员。研究专长包括中国现代史、中国革命史、社会科学史、历史社会学。
The Irony of Reason
Max Weber's The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism dug out the cultural origin of the "spirit of capitalism" from the asceticism of Protestantism, and then explained the origin of "rationalism" and the characteristics of "modern civilization", which is one of the most frequently cited social science works.
This book is based on the humanities and general studies course offered by Professor Li Fangchun of Chongqing University and has been polished for five years. Corresponding to the five chapters of the Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism, the thesis is divided into five chapters, which completely, clearly and simply restore the process of Weber's proposition and deduction. At the same time, two research papers are included, especially focusing on the interpretation of Weber's research method, discussing the kinship between Weber's "cultural science of history" and Nietzsche's "genealogy", and deepening the discussion of "rational history and the irrational results of history".
About the author
Li Fangchun
He holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Peking University and a doctorate in history from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Humanities and Social Sciences, Chongqing University. His research expertise includes modern Chinese history, history of the Chinese Revolution, history of social science, and historical sociology.
