近年来批判遗产研究（criticalheritagestudy）是文化遗产研究领域最具思辨性的学术方向，而本书是该研究领域最有影响力的代表著作之一。作者借用行动者网络理论、表征政治、话语建构等学说，对当代主流的遗产观念和实践进行了深刻反思和批判，重新审视自然与文化、物质与非物质、官方与非官方遗产的关系，提出了更具包容性和对话性的遗产模式。

作者简介
罗德尼·哈里森（RodneyHarrison）教授，伦敦大学学院考古研究院（IoA,UCL）文化遗产学教授、英国艺术与人文研究委员会遗产领域首席研究员，担任由英国艺术与人文研究委员会资助的“遗产未来”研究项目首席调研员、伦敦大学“遗产未来”研究实验室主任。主持有“欧洲遗产未来的理论：遗产的故事”等项目。他还是《当代考古学杂志》的创始编辑和现任主编，曾任批判遗产研究学会创始执行委员会成员。目前已著述或合著专著十余本，并为70多篇期刊论文和书章担任特邀编辑和同行评审。他的研究得到了全球挑战研究基金、英国科学院、温纳格伦基金会、澳大利亚研究委员会、澳大利亚土著人和托雷斯海峡岛民研究院以及欧洲委员会等多家机构的资助。
Brief introduction to Cultural and Natural Heritage
In recent years, criticalheritagestudy is the most speculative academic direction in the field of cultural heritage research, and this book is one of the most influential representative works in this field. By using theories such as actor network theory, representational politics, and discourse construction, the author deeply reflects and criticizes contemporary mainstream heritage concepts and practices, re-examines the relationship between natural and cultural, material and intangible, official and unofficial heritage, and puts forward a more inclusive and conversational heritage model.
The overarching goal of this book is to encourage scholars to take a more critical approach to dealing with heritage, shifting their focus from "how" we should preserve it to "why" people choose to do so. This is the most important goal of "critical" heritage research: to expose the processes that produce heritage, thereby allowing the public to understand it from their own social, historical, political, and economic contexts.
About the author
Professor RodneyHarrison, Professor of Cultural Heritage at University College London Institute of Archaeology (IoA,UCL) and Principal Research Fellow for Heritage at the Arts and Humanities Research Council, He is Principal Investigator of the Future of Heritage Research Project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and Director of the Future of Heritage Research Laboratory at the University of London. He has led projects such as "Theories of the Future of European Heritage: The Story of Heritage". He is also the founding editor and current editor-in-chief of the Journal of Contemporary Archaeology and was a founding executive Committee member of the Society for Critical Heritage Studies. He has authored or co-authored more than 10 books, and served as guest editor and peer reviewer for more than 70 journal articles and book chapters. His research has been funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund, the British Academy, the Wennergren Foundation, the Australian Research Council, the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Institute and the European Commission, among others.
