董乃斌，曾任中国社会科学院文学研究所副所长、中国唐代文学学会副会长。
现为上海大学终身教授、博士生导师、国家社会科学基金重大项目首席专家。

Introduction to the Great Convergence and Great Divergence
The world is undergoing "profound changes unseen in a century." What is the essence and core of great change? Will the Great changes bring another historical opportunity or another crisis to China's modernization? If it is an opportunity, how can we seize it? If it is a crisis, is it possible for us to turn the "crisis" into an "opportunity"? How do we create this opportunity? How can we reverse the trend of "anti-globalization" and lead a new wave of globalization? How can we bring about another great confluence of globalization and modernization? About the author
Zheng Yonglian is currently Chair Professor of the President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Dean of the Qianhai Institute of International Affairs, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Institute of Public Policy of South China University of Technology, member of the Advisory Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee for High-quality Development and Construction of Common Prosperity Demonstration Zone, Chairman of the Guangzhou Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Research Institute, Honorary Dean of the Institute of Political Economy of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his LL.B. and M.S. from Peking University, and his Ph.D. in Political science from Princeton University. Editor of "China Policy Series" of Rutledge Press and co-editor of "Contemporary China Studies Series" of World Science and Technology Book Company. His main research interests include China's internal transformation and external relations, and he has published and edited nearly 100 books in both Chinese and English, including the Internal Market: China's State-Led Political Economy, The Chinese Plan for Common Prosperity, the Defense of Society, and the China Model.
