波兰颇负盛名的当代作家之一。1972年生于华沙，从事封面、海报和商标设计，偶尔撰文写书。著有《为何我不再热爱设计》《未弃之物》：前一本书，他告别了父亲，后一本书则献给母亲。《未弃之物》获波兰文学至高奖尼刻奖、艺术界至高荣誉政治周刊护照奖以及贡布罗维奇奖。

"Even though life tells us that we must all die, there are goodbyes that we are never prepared for."
Marcin Wija, a contemporary Polish writer, is faced with this dilemma. My mother always collected useless gadgets: lamps, rocks, scrap newspapers, ballpoint pens, and, of course, her favorite -- books. After the death of her mother, the author, while sorting through her belongings, recalls the past and repaints the image of her as a Jewish woman, as a mother and as a Polish citizen; At the same time, there is also the daily life of the post-war generation in Poland, as well as the suffering of the Jewish community: the shadow of Kristallnacht, postwar inflation and material deprivation, anti-Semitism in 1968, the transition... They have a deep and profound impact on every Pole, and they carry the collective memory of that generation.
"Undiscarded" is a book of words and objects, a book about mother, it is like a scrapbook of objects, more like a personal history, a private memoir. The whole book is not sad at all, but full of black humor and satire, teasing, and circumspection, he is a rather chic memoir of the dead.

One of Poland's most celebrated contemporary writers. Born in Warsaw in 1972, he designs covers, posters and logos, and occasionally writes books. He is the author of "Why I Fell out of love with Design" and "What is not Abandoned" : the first book, he said goodbye to his father, the second book is dedicated to his mother. "Undiscarded" won the Niche Prize, the highest prize in Polish literature, the Passport Prize of Political Weekly, the highest honor in the art world, and the Gombrovich Prize.
