《消失的古城》内容简介
《消失的古城（增订本）》是历史学家王笛对晚清和民国初年成都历史和成都人日常生活的生动讲述。作者以流畅的笔调，描绘了大众文化的丰富多彩，展示了这个城市由传统到现代的转折过程。从书中，可以看到人们坐茶馆、逛庙会、庆祝节日等各种活动，茶客、苦力、小贩、工匠、挑水夫、剃头匠、乞丐等三教九流在城市中的生存状态，以及现
代化和社会变迁对他们的影响。
此次增订，新写了前言，调整了结构，充实了内容，设计了藏书票，并对插图进行了精选。全书插图共43幅，新增的16幅主要是人物
情景图，呈现了彼时公共空间和城市文化的生动画面。
这本书是对那座已经不复存在的古城的纪念。

王笛
澳门大学历史系讲席教授，曾任美国得克萨斯A&M大学历史系教授。
美国约翰斯•霍普金斯大学历史学博士。主要关注中国社会史、城市史、新文化史、日常生活史和微观史的研究。

About the author
Wang Di
Professor of History, University of Macau, former Professor of History, Texas A&M University.
D. in history, Johns Hopkins University. It mainly focuses on the research of Chinese social history, urban history, new culture history, daily life history and micro history.
