本书为是日本近代著名文豪永井荷风的中篇小说集，收入永井荷风的4篇中篇小说。永井荷风的作品多以艺伎、舞女、咖啡馆女招待等落入风月的女性为主角，以颓废的笔触记录了在新时代的裹挟下耽溺于享乐的男男女女。他的作品总是透露着无以名状的虚无质地，人们在道德与欲望的裂缝中无法安放自我的命运，又无法停止与他人之间纠葛、崩塌的关系。
跨越明治、大正、昭和三代的永井荷风著述丰富，但他始终在以明治为开端的新时代寻找着旧日本的遗迹，希望在现代扑面而来之后依然耽溺在过去的人际关系与城市景观之中，他也是的日本近代第一位整整意义上将“东京”作为一座现代城市加以描写的作者。
作者简介：
永井荷风（1879—1959）日本小说家、散文家。1902年，受左拉影响，创作小说《地狱之花》，得到森鸥外推崇。1903年，游学美国、法国，深受法国唯美主义浸染。1908年归国，发表《美利坚物语》《法兰西物语》，轰动文坛。1910年成为庆应大学教授，主办《三田文学》，该杂志成为唯美主义文学的阵地。幸德秋水事件后，转向江户文化寻求慰藉。他以小说和散文追寻瓦舍勾栏间的江户遗迹，于游女的身姿、娼妇的隐泣中发现悲哀之美，在庶民感性放浪的生活里寄托对专制的抗议，在江户的平民艺术中发掘东洋独具的美学。代表作包括《隅田川》《梅雨前后》《濹东绮谭》等。
译者简介：
罗嘉，1993年毕业于日本国立京都教育大学美术系，译有《袈裟与盛远》《阿富的贞操》（芥川龙之介）、《中途下车》（宫本辉）、《一器一会》《东京日和》等。以独特的古典色彩传达着属于明治时代的韵味和风貌。

This book is a collection of novellas by Nagai Hokaze, a famous modern Japanese writer, and includes four novellas by Nagai Hokaze. Nagai's works mostly feature geisha, dancing girls, cafe waitresses and other women who fall into the wind and moonlight, and record the men and women who indulge in pleasure under the bondage of the new era with decadent strokes. His works always reveal the indescribable nothingness of the texture, people can not place their own fate in the cracks of morality and desire, and can not stop the entanglement and collapse of the relationship between others.
Spanning the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa generations, Nagai has written a lot, but he has always been looking for the remains of old Japan in the new era beginning with Meiji, hoping to stay in the past interpersonal relations and urban landscape even after the modern era comes. He is also the first author in modern Japan to describe "Tokyo" as a modern city in a full sense.
About the author:
Hirokazu Nagai (1879-1959) was a Japanese novelist and essayist. In 1902, under the influence of Zola, he wrote a novel "Flowers of Hell", which was praised by Mori. In 1903, he studied in the United States and France and was deeply influenced by French aestheticism. In 1908, he returned to China and published the Story of America and The Story of France, which caused a sensation in the literary world. In 1910, he became a professor at Keio University, where he hosted Mita Literature, a magazine that became a front for aesthete literature. After the autumn water incident in Xingde, he turned to Edo culture for solace. In his novels and essays, he traced the Edo ruins of the Vasa, found the beauty of sadness in the body of the wanderer and the hidden cry of the prostitute, expressed his protest against the autocracy in the life of the common people, and discovered the unique aesthetics of the East in the ordinary art of Edo. His representative works include Sumida River, Around Meiyu, 濹 Dongqi Tan and so on.
About the Translator
Luo Jia, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Kyoto National University of Education, Japan in 1993, translated "Kasaya and Sheng Yuan", "Fu's Chastity" (Akutagawa Ryunosuke), "Halfway Off" (Miyamoto Fai), "One Organ", "Tokyo Hiwa" and so on. It conveys the charm and style of the Meiji era with unique classical colors.
