作者简介
柳德米拉·乌利茨卡娅（1943—），俄罗斯作家、翻译家和编剧。生于苏联巴什基尔自治共和国达夫列卡诺沃市，毕业于莫斯科国立大学生物系。在苏联科学院普通遗传学研究所工作两年后辞职，开始了文学创作生涯。20世纪80年代末，开始在杂志上发表小说，先后斩获多项俄罗斯文学大奖，如2001年的俄罗斯布克奖（她是该奖的首位女性得主）、2007年和2016年的大书奖，并享有崇高的国际声誉，获法国艺术与文学勋章、奥地利国家欧洲文学奖、西班牙福门托尔文学奖等。代表作有《索尼奇卡》《美狄亚和她的孩子们》《库科茨基医生的病案》《翻译员达尼埃尔·施泰因》《雅科夫的梯子》等。
任光宣，北京大学教授，博士生导师。长期从事俄罗斯文学的教学和研究工作，有著译作多部。
"Yakov's Ladder" 【 Content Introduction 】
In this family chronicle of many characters and twists, the story of Yakov Oshetsky and his granddaughter Nala unfolds in two main lines, weaving together a thick story that spans six generations and a hundred years. Yakov Oshetsky was an intellectual who was born at the end of the 19th century. Nora is a theatre artist, spontaneous and active. The two "met" in the early 2000s, when Nora read the correspondence between Yakov and his grandmother Maria, and consulted Yakov's personal file in the KGB archives, learning about his grandfather's past deeds, and thus unraveling a family mystery. The plot of the novel borrows from the author's own collection of grandfather letters, which adds a touch of real-life light to the work.
About the author
Lyudmila Ulitskaya (1943 -) is a Russian writer, translator and screenwriter. Born in the city of Davlikanovo, Bashkir Autonomous Republic of the Soviet Union, he graduated from the Department of Biology of Moscow State University. After two years at the Institute of General Genetics of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, he resigned and began his literary career. In the late 1980s, she began publishing her novels in magazines, winning several Russian literary awards, such as the Russian Booker Prize in 2001 (she was the first woman to win the prize), the Big Book Prize in 2007 and 2016, and enjoying a lofty international reputation. He was awarded the French Order of Arts and Letters, the Austrian National European Prize for Literature, and the Spanish Formentor Prize for Literature. Masterpieces include Sonichka, Medea and Her Children, The Case of Dr. Kukotsky, Interpreter Danielle Stein, and Yakov's Ladder.
Ren Guangxuan is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Peking University. He has been engaged in the teaching and research of Russian literature for a long time, and has written and translated many books.
