H.P.洛夫克拉夫特（HowardPhillipsLovecraft，1890—1937）
20世纪最著名的奇幻、科幻、恐怖小说家之一，同时也是著名书信作家和诗人，“克苏鲁神话”的初创者。H.P.洛夫克拉夫特与罗伯特·E.霍华德、C.A.史密斯并称为“《诡丽幻谭》三杰”。洛夫克拉夫特生前只能说小有名气，去世后他的作品才被广为流传，使其成为极具号召力的恐怖文学大师，其影响一直延续至今。
《诡丽幻谭·百年精选·Vol.1》中收录了他的《马丁海滩的恐怖》，这是洛老与其时任妻子索尼娅共同创作的作品，也是索尼娅在世时唯一正式发表的作品。

H.P. Lovecraft (1890-1937)
One of the most famous fantasy, science fiction and horror writers of the 20th century, he is also a famous letter writer and poet, and the originator of the "Cthulhu myth". H.P. Lovecraft, along with Robert E. Howard and C.A. Smith, is known as one of the "Three Villains of the Phantom Fantasy". Lovecraft was only a minor celebrity in his lifetime, but it was only after his death that his work was widely circulated, making him a powerful master of horror literature whose influence continues to this day.
The Centennial Collection Vol.1 includes his book The Horror of Martin Beach, which he co-wrote with his then-wife, Sonia, and was the only officially published work during Sonia's lifetime.
