In this unique telephoto, Charles Murray focuses on white Americans and shows how the long-interlinked classes of American society are beginning to divide at a certain point, not because of racial or ethnic differences. Through 50 years of data analysis and research, he has shown that a new upper class and a new lower class have diverged so sharply in core behaviors and values that they barely recognize their fundamental kinship as fellow Americans - a divide that has nothing to do with income inequality and that has grown in good times and bad.
According to Murray, upper-class white Americans and lower-class white Americans are increasingly separated into different cultures. CharlesMurray (born 1943) is an American historian of political science, society, and technology. Bachelor's history from Harvard University, the Massachusetts institute of technology, PhD, at the American enterprise institute for public policy research (AmericanEnterpriseInstitute) specializing in culture and free w. h. brady scholar. He is famous for his book "Losing Ground" in 1984, and is also the author of "The Analysis of Civilization", "The Bell Curve" (co-authored), "In Our Hands" and "Real Education". He currently lives in Burkittsville, Maryland, USA.
