《美国折叠》内容简介
美国有光荣，美国无梦想；美国即天堂，美国也是地狱；美国曾是未来，美国早已过去。
世道在变，美国在变，我们也在变，恒纪元不再，我们认识美国的立场和方法也要与时俱进。一方面是“与时”，也即要把美国作为对象，并把这个对象历史化，打开美国在历史行进中的山重水复；另一方面则要“俱进”，我们作为观察者也要把自己历史化，置身事外以形成中国的主体立场，才能趋进思想的柳暗花明。
光荣与梦想的神话淡出，取而代之的是美国崩溃的危机论。与时俱进也要求实事求是，而实事求是地认识“美国”，就要求我们不虚美，不隐恶。此前我们读到的美国讲述，左手地狱右手天堂，归根到底都是对美国这个庞然大物的一种折叠，美国的复杂及其在历史维度内的不断变革，使得认识美国变得极其困难，但又极为迫切。
“美国怎么了”，这是时代推着我们要去回答的问题，本书意在打开折叠，哪个美国，又是谁的美国，现在只是开始，让我们一起追问。
作者简介
田雷华东师范大学法学院教授。初以学习美国宪法开启科研生涯，法科生获政治学博士学位后转进入历史研究，于美国早期宪法领域内深耕，追根溯源讲述美国宪制之初，近期开始探索以“当代美国”作为方法，观察美利坚社会近半个世纪以来的衰变。目前出版专著两三部、译著七八种，个人研究之外，另主持雅理译丛和本土原创的学术出版。

About the author
Tian Lei, Professor of Law, East China Normal University. He began his scientific research career by studying the US Constitution. After obtaining a PhD in political science, he switched to historical research. He worked deeply in the field of the early Constitution of the United States, tracing back to the origins of the US constitutional system, and recently began to explore the "contemporary America" as a method to observe the decay of American society in the past half century. At present, he has published two or three monographs and seven or eight translations. In addition to his personal research, he has also presided over the academic publishing of the translation collections and local original works.
