　　莫拉维亚与卡尔维诺、夏侠被评论界合称为“意大利现代文学三杰”。22岁时，他出版了欧洲存在主义小说《冷漠的人》，一举成名。20世纪中期，他在世界文坛如日中天，陆续出版了《罗马女人》《同流者》《鄙视》等巨著。

　　他曾获得15次诺奖提名，并获斯特雷加奖、马佐托奖等多个奖项。他更是名导宠儿，多部作品登上银幕：戈达尔翻拍《鄙视》，贝托鲁奇翻拍《同流者》，达米亚尼翻拍《空白画布》，等等。他的作品对意大利的语言、电影界产生了深远的影响。1983年，他以崇高威望当选欧洲笔会主席，并任欧洲议会会员。

Alberto Moravia
(Albert Tomoravia, 1907-1990)
Moravia, Calvino and Xia Xia are collectively called "the three masters of modern Italian literature" by critics. At the age of 22, he made a name for himself with the publication of the European existential novel The Indifferent Man. In the middle of the 20th century, he flourished in the world literary world, and successively published such great works as "Roman Woman", "Fellow" and "Contempt".
He has been nominated for 15 Nobel Prizes and has won several awards, including the Strega Prize and the Mazzotto Prize. He is also a beloved director, and several works have appeared on the screen: Godard's remake of Despise, Bertolucci's remake of Fellow Artists, Damiani's remake of Blank Canvas, and so on. His work has had a profound impact on Italian language and cinema. In 1983, he was elected President of PEN Europe and a member of the European Parliament.
