《过渡劳动》【内容简介】

　　本书是一部关于平台劳动的人类学民族志作品，深入探讨了中国平台经济背景下外卖骑手的劳动形态及其社会意义。通过在19个城市历时7年的田野调查，作者带着行动主义的热情，记录下骑手悬浮于正式与非正式劳动之间的真实状态，关注到平台从对劳动者本身的控制转向对劳动过程的精细控制的关键转变，提出了“过渡劳动”这一颇具解释力的劳动概念，反映出劳动者对未来职业发展的关切。书中深入探讨了算法技术对骑手劳动的影响，特别关注了女骑手在家庭和工作中的双重挑战，并为此提供了丰富的田野数据和新的研究视角。

　　如今，平台化正在形塑全新的社会关系。外卖、家政、物流、打车等数字平台方便了人们的日常生活，与此同时也催生了大批依附平台的零工劳动者。本书在对骑手零工进行记录反思的同时，相信个体在不确定性中塑造生活的经验和勇气，憧憬一种更加良性向善的算法。

　　作者简介

　　孙萍，香港中文大学传播学博士，现任中国社科院新闻与传播研究所副研究员，中国社科院大学新闻传播学院副教授、系主任。从事平台经济与数字劳动、性别、技术与社会发展等方向的研究，长期追踪平台劳动者的职业发展与变迁。

　　曾获国际传播学会（ICA）“最佳论文一等奖”、中国互联网研究学会(CIRC)“年度最佳论文奖”、中国新闻史学会“优秀论文奖”、中国社科院“优秀科研成果奖”、青年新媒体启皓奖“卓越学术奖”等。

"Transitional Labor" 【 Content Introduction 】

This book is an anthropological and ethnographic work on platform labor, which deeply discusses the labor form and social significance of delivery riders under the background of China's platform economy. Through seven years of fieldwork in 19 cities, the author, with a passion for activism, documents the real state of riders suspended between formal and informal labor, focusing on the critical shift of the platform from the control of the workers themselves to the fine control of the labor process, and puts forward the explanatory concept of "transitional labor". It reflects workers' concern about their future career development. The book explores in depth the impact of algorithmic technology on rider labor, with a special focus on the dual challenges of female riders at home and at work, and provides a wealth of field data and new research perspectives.

Today, platformization is shaping entirely new social relationships. Digital platforms such as food delivery, housekeeping, logistics, and taxi hailing have facilitated People's Daily lives, while at the same time giving birth to a large number of gig workers dependent on the platforms. While recording and reflecting on the rider's odd job, this book believes in the experience and courage of individuals to shape their lives in uncertainty, and looks forward to a more benign and good algorithm.

About the author

Sun Ping, Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, is currently an associate researcher at the Institute of Journalism and Communication of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and an associate professor and head of the Department of Journalism and Communication of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is engaged in research on platform economy and digital labor, gender, technology and social development, and tracks the career development and changes of platform workers for a long time.

He has won the "Best Paper First Prize" of the International Communication Society (ICA), the "Best Paper Award of the Year" of the Internet Research Society of China (CIRC), the "Excellent Paper Award" of the Chinese Journalism History Society, the "Excellent Scientific Research Achievement Award" of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the "Outstanding Academic Award" of the Young New Media Qihao Award.
