《寻人不遇》内容简介

　　从2012年开始，比尔·波特开始了全新的旅程——寻访36位他所钦佩的中国古代诗人故址。一路上，69岁的比尔沿着黄河、长江，寻访36位古代诗人的足迹。为此，他从孔子的故乡曲阜出发，到济南（李清照），往西安（白居易），经成都（杜甫、贾岛），赴湖北（孟浩然）、湖南（屈原），并一路走到南方，陶醉于陶渊明、谢灵运的山水之中，最后到达浙江天台山诗僧寒山隐居之地。他带着“美国最好的酒”——用玉米酿制的波旁威士忌，向每一位诗人致敬。

　　[美]比尔·波特，美国当代著名的作家、翻译家、汉学家。1970年进入哥伦比亚大学攻读人类学博士，机缘巧合之下开始学习中文，从此爱上中国文化。1972年，比尔赴台湾一所寺庙修行，在那里过起暮鼓晨钟的隐居生活；1991年，他又辗转至香港某广播电台工作，并开始长期在中国大陆旅行，撰写了大量介绍中国风土人情的书籍和游记，同时翻译多部佛学经典和诗集，在欧美各国掀起了一股学习中国传统文化的热潮。

Since 2012, Bill Porter has embarked on a new journey to visit the sites of 36 ancient Chinese poets whom he admires. Along the way, 69-year-old Bill followed the Yellow River and Yangtze River, retracing the footsteps of 36 ancient poets. To this end, he set out from Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, to Ji 'nan (Li Qingzhao), to Xi 'an (Bai Juyi), via Chengdu (Du Fu, Jia Dao), to Hubei (Meng Haoran), Hunan (Qu Yuan), and all the way to the south, to enjoy the scenery of Tao Yuanming and Xie Lingyun, and finally arrived at Zhejiang Tiantai Mountain poetry monk cold Mountain hideaway. He saluted each poet with "America's finest liquor," bourbon made from corn.

About the author

Bill Porter is a famous contemporary American writer, translator and Sinologist. In 1970, he entered Columbia University to pursue a doctorate in anthropology, and began to learn Chinese by chance, and fell in love with Chinese culture since then. In 1972, Bill went to a temple in Taiwan, where he lived a reclusive life.

After the publication of Bill's work about the hidden people in China, The Orchid in the Hollow Valley was warmly welcomed by readers, and it was republished one edition and sold well to this day.
