　　西德尼·佩尔科维茨美国埃默里大学物理学荣休教授，美国科学促进会会员，科普作家，致力于大众科学普及，出版《普有泡沫：从卡布奇诺到宇宙》（2000）、《数字人》（2004）、《缓慢的光》（2011）等多部科普作品，并为《科学》《华盛顿邮报》《洛杉矶时报》等报刊撰稿。2015年获得美国文艺与科学协会授予的终身成就奖。

　　顾民南京大学物理学院教授，博士生导师。讲授《固体物理学》等课程。主持多项国家及江苏省自然科学基金项目、国家重大科技专项子课题和攻关项目，参加多项“国家重点基础研究发展计划”和“国家高技术研究发展计划”项目。获得江苏省科技进步二等奖，发表论文130余篇。

Sidney Perkowitz is an emeritus professor of physics at Emory University and a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. From Cappuccino to the Universe (2000), Digital Man (2004) and Slow Light (2011), he has written for Science, The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. In 2015, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Association of Arts and Sciences.

He has presided over a number of national and Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, national major science and technology special sub-projects and research projects, and participated in a number of "National Key Basic Research and Development Plan" and "National High-tech Research and Development Plan" projects.
