China's Challenges to Becoming a High-income Economy
As per capita income exceeds $10,000, the per capita income gap between China and high-income countries is narrowing. Building on the achievements of the past four decades and more, China needs to address a number of challenges to further increase its growth potential. This book selects seven important themes: social governance and public services, urbanization, agricultural competitiveness, trade transformation, industrial innovation, fiscal and financial system, and RMB internationalization, discusses the exciting changes in China's transformation into a high-income country, and summarizes the vast experience accumulated in China's economic structural changes. It can provide some inspiration for the high-quality development of China's economy.

Song Ligang is Professor and PhD supervisor at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, and Chair Professor at the School of Economics, Renmin University of China.
Yixiao Zhou is an Associate professor and PhD supervisor at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. He holds a double Bachelor of Science and Economics from Peking University and a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University.
