"Still want to hold a warm pot to say good night" content introduction
You cry, you live, you eat, anyway
"Or Should I Hold a Warm Pot and Say Good Night" is a short story collection published in 2020 by the new generation of Japanese female writer Teru Ayase, containing six short stories related to food, presenting six kinds of life's sweet and bitter taste. Life is a feast, we have tasted the taste of the world. Sour, sweet, bitter, hot and salty, all carry everyone's past and future. Whether it is the chicken dish that symbolizes "change", the edamame cheese bread that mixes in "painful memories", the pizza that has no filling but reminds people of the "original heart", or other delicious dishes that bring "courage" and "comfort" to family and friends, all become gentle footnotes in life. When you are happy, celebrate with food; When you are sad, talk to food; When you're lonely, keep food company. Cry, live, either way, eat first.
