Ayn Rand's Nonfiction Writing Class
Ayn Rand's first contribution to this book as a rational writer is to demystify writing. She firmly believes that nonfiction writing is a skill that can be learned by anyone with a scientific approach and guided by rational principles.
This book is a compilation of 16 "Nonfiction writing classes" that Ayn Rand gave to friends. First, Ayn Rand explores the psychological aspects of writing, the role of the conscious and subconscious mind, and points out how we can grasp the essence of a problem objectively, rather than holding ourselves back in subjective self-doubt. Ayn Rand then provides a clear and in-depth analysis of the process and methods of nonfiction writing, from the choice of subject matter to the writing outline, from the argument to the style of writing, whether you are preparing to write a narrative, an argument-essay, an exposit, a work paper, a news report, a commentary, a self-narrative, this book can give you effective guidance and excellent inspiration.
