欧洲重要的公共知识分子,小说家、符号学家、美学家、史学家、哲学家。出生于意大利亚历山德里亚，博洛尼亚大学教授。著有大量小说和随笔作品，如《玫瑰的名字》《傅科摆》《昨日之岛》《波多里诺》《洛阿娜女王的神秘火焰》《布拉格公墓》《试刊号》和《密涅瓦火柴盒》等。
米洛•马纳拉（MiloManara，1945—）
意大利著名漫画作家、艺术家。自一九七〇年代起创作漫画，与多家著名刊物以及费里尼等著名导演合作。曾改编薄伽丘《十日谈》等文学作品，漫画作品屡获大奖，深受埃科的喜爱。2022年接受埃科家人委托，将《玫瑰的名字》改编为图像小说。

MiloManara (1945 -)
Famous Italian comic book writer and artist. He has been producing comics since the 1970s and has worked with well-known publications and directors such as Fellini. He has adapted Boccaccio's "Decameron" and other literary works, and his comic works have won many awards, which is deeply loved by Eco. In 2022, he was commissioned by the Ekko family to adapt the Name of the Rose as a graphic novel.
